# How to export data from MRI Software

## How to export your data from MRI Software

MRI deployments are usually multi-module. There is no single public “download my database” article. Plan a professional-services extract: CRM contacts and properties, lettings tenancies, accounting ledgers, portal documents and any Qube PM diaries. Involve your MRI account team early; enterprise exits are project work.

### 1. CRM and lettings records

Request exports of properties, applicants, tenancies and document indexes from Engage CRM / lettings. Agree unique IDs that accounting and the resident portal also use.

Typical format: CSV/Excel plus a document manifest, often produced by MRI services.

### 2. Accounting and payments

Export rent ledgers, unallocated cash, landlord payables and supplier AP. Enterprise charts of accounts need a mapping workshop before load into Yorlet.

Typical format: Trial balances, transaction extracts and statement PDFs.

### 3. Maintenance and compliance

Export open works, contractor records and compliance diaries (including Qube PM if used).

Typical format: CSV plus attachments.

### 4. Resident portal content

Download resident documents, amenity configuration and communication templates so the portal is not the only copy.

Typical format: Files plus a CMS/portal export if available.

## Watch-outs before you leave

- MRI landscapes often include several products. A lettings-only export will miss Qube, portal or accounting modules.
- Custom fields and historic custom reports may not sit in standard tables. Inventory them before the contract ends.
- Cutover windows for enterprise accounting are longer than for a mid-market PMS. Budget parallel run time.

- Keep identifiers (tenancy ID, property ID, email) consistent across every export file.
- Export connected systems in the same window so repairs and payments still join to the tenancy.
- Plan Direct Debit re-enrolment if the collector is changing.
