Export guide

How to export your data from Alto

Alto’s help centre documents exporting Classic reports to PDF, Excel or CSV. Property management and financial datasets live under those reporting groups. Use reports as the self-serve extract, then ask Alto or your account manager for a bulk data handover if you are leaving the CRM.
  1. 1

    Applicants, properties and lettings pipeline

Open Reports, choose Classic reports, pick the reporting group, configure filters and export to CSV or Excel.

Typical format: CSV, Excel or PDF.

  2. 2

    Property management records

Use the Property Management reporting group for tenancies, compliance dates and maintenance activity, then export.

    Typical format: CSV or Excel.

  3. 3

    Client accounting

Use the Property Management Financials reporting group for rent, fees and landlord statements. Export the reports your accountant will need to reconstruct balances.

Typical format: CSV, Excel or PDF.

  4. 4

    Portal documents

Download documents stored on tenancy and property records, including anything landlords or tenants uploaded in PropertyFile. Confirm certificates and signed agreements are in the file export, not only linked in the portal.

Typical format: Original PDFs and images.

Watch-outs before you leave

  • Classic report exports follow the filters you set. A one-off report of the current view is not a complete database dump.
  • Marketplace apps such as Fixflo hold their own repair history. Export those systems in the same window.
  • PropertyFile access ends with the Alto subscription. Give landlords and tenants notice and a copy of statements before you cut over.

Importing into Yorlet

Grant Yorlet access to Alto (and any connected CRM, collector or maintenance tool). We transfer properties, people, tenancies, balances and documents, train your team and stay with you through go-live. Read the generic switch process if you want the four-stage view.

Before you export

  • Keep identifiers (tenancy ID, property ID, email) consistent across every export file.
  • Export connected systems in the same window so repairs and payments still join to the tenancy.
  • Plan Direct Debit re-enrolment if the collector is changing.

FAQ

Exporting from Alto

How do I export Alto reports?
Go to Reports, then Classic reports, select a reporting group and report, set filters, and export to CSV, Excel or PDF. Property management and financials have their own groups.
Will Yorlet import Alto CSV exports?
Yes. Classic report CSVs are a typical starting point. Yorlet also migrates documents and, where needed, works with Alto or your IT team on a fuller extract.

Comparisons use publicly available product, help-centre and pricing pages. They are not an official statement by Alto and are not a complete catalogue of every module or partner integration. Capabilities change; check the vendor’s own site before you buy. Alto and related marks are trademarks of their owners. Yorlet uses competitor names only to identify those products.
