Export guide

How to export your data from Reapit

Reapit documents Excel exports from grids, including standard and custom templates. Power Reports cover tenancy and property-management datasets. A complete migration still usually needs a planned extract of properties, contacts, tenancies, documents and client-account balances, often with Reapit or a migration partner.
  1. 1

    Properties, applicants and tenancies

Open the relevant grid, arrange columns so they match the records you need, then right-click the column headings and choose Export to Excel. Use a standard spreadsheet for a first pass, or a custom template when you need extra database fields.

Typical format: Microsoft Excel (.xls) via standard or custom export.

  2. 2

    Compliance certificates

Reapit documents custom export examples for standard certificate expiry details per property. Build or reuse a custom Excel template that includes those merge codes, then export the property grid.

    Typical format: Custom Excel template.

  3. 3

    Works orders and arrears

Run the property management organiser and Power Reports for works orders, arrears and rent reviews, then export the resulting grids.

Typical format: Excel from grids or Power Reports.

  4. 4

    Client money

If you use Reapit Client Accounts, export statements, unallocated cash and payee details from the accounts reports. Confirm reconciled balances with your accounts team before go-live on a new platform.

Typical format: Accounts reports, typically Excel or PDF.

Watch-outs before you leave

  • A custom export only includes fields that exist as merge codes on the underlying database tables. Confirm landlord, tenant and tenancy identifiers before you leave Reapit.
  • Documents stored as letters on a tenancy are not the same as a grid export. Plan a document archive separately.
  • If PayProp or Goodlord holds payments or referencing data, export those systems in the same window so records still join on tenancy ID.
Import

Importing into Yorlet

Grant Yorlet access to Reapit (and any connected CRM, collector or maintenance tool). We transfer properties, people, tenancies, balances and documents, train your team and stay with you through go-live. Read the generic switch process if you want the four-stage view.

Before you export

  • Keep identifiers (tenancy ID, property ID, email) consistent across every export file.
  • Export connected systems in the same window so repairs and payments still join to the tenancy.
  • Plan Direct Debit re-enrolment if the collector is changing.

FAQ

Exporting from Reapit

How do I export Reapit data to Excel?
Right-click the column headings on any grid and choose Export to Excel. You can take a standard spreadsheet of the visible grid or build a custom template with extra merge codes.
Is a grid export enough to leave Reapit?
It is a start. You still need documents, client-account balances and any data that lives in PayProp, Goodlord or other connected products. Yorlet treats those as part of a supported migration.
